Miss Millie’s Fried Chicken is a beloved fast-food chain renowned for its crispy, golden chicken. Founded in Bristol, UK, it offers a menu featuring Millies famous Awesome Fried Chicken, spicy wings, and crispy fries.

The Challenge

After a hot-off-the-press brand refresh, the guys at Miss Millies Fried Chicken were looking for a brand new website that not only looked the part, but also took advantage of the ordering habits of the modern millennial dinner.
The new site needed functionality to allow users to go directly to their local store menu, and order from their preferred delivery provider (just eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats). In addition to this, as each store holds its own menu with varied allergen information, Miss Millies needed to be able to dynamically show the correct menu for each store in a user friendly and accessible way, which was also easy to manage from an admin point of view.

Solutions

With a flair for quirky, Miss Millies new branding allowed us to inject some awesome personality into the site. From fun micro interaction and animations to custom illustration and iconography, we really helped set Miss Millies apart from the competition with a user experience that resonates with their target audience.
We created an easy to manage menu in the backend of the site, which allows the admin team to build a menu for each store, which automatically populates an accessible allergen table for users to view.
Using location services provided by the users device we gave the site the ability to automatically find a users nearest store and allow for them to order from their favourite delivery provider with just two clicks from landing on the site, allowing for higher conversions and a streamline process for the user.

Ensuring that the user journey’s flowed with ease and uninterrupted, was paramount to the success of this project

We ensure that the user journey was completely mobile friendly and that every possible user need was considered. We Call this Wireframing 2.0.
